Field Service Technician

SUMMARY: The primary responsibilities of this position are performing field quality audits on customer installations. Conduct installation and maintenance training with new vendors and installers that have performance issues. Perform emergency maintenance and installations as required. Make recommendations on field installation performance issues. Make recommendations to ensure adequate installation and maintenance coverage within the region of assignment. Troubleshoot and repair customer premise equipment. Maintain and requisition parts / equipment inventory for use in day to day activities. Issue reports as required to analysis potential problems with the quality of work performed and actions to resolve these issues.
ACCOUNTABILITIES: Maintain a company vehicle within company guidelines. Produce and maintain vehicle, travel, training and quality reports as needed. Other duties may be assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: 6 years of satellite, VSAT, installation and maintenance experience. Prior field service work involving troubleshooting of systems, networks and computers. The ability to perform with minimal assistance. The ability to solve complex issues while on a customers premises.
